📣📣📣 During the first ten days of this year, the Fergana branch of the public association “Yuksak Salohiyat” conducted seven mini-trainings in several general education schools in the city of Kuvasay as part of the project “Public Services – A New Level!”
☄️Throughout the trainings, senior students received not only essential knowledge and skills about public services but also other useful information and educational materials relevant to their daily lives. The participants demonstrated high engagement and enthusiasm during the sessions.
📌This initiative was implemented within the framework of the “Effective Governance” program, funded by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany (BMZ) in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The Fergana Valley today stands as a symbol of a new philosophy of good neighborliness, built on dialogue and joint efforts for shared prosperity.
📣📣📣 On October 15–16, the Fergana Peace Forum *“Fergana Valley: Uniting Efforts for Peace and Progress”* was held in Fergana at a high organizational level — a key international event aimed at strengthening cooperation in Central Asia.
During the **third panel session** of the second day of the forum, titled *“Reflections on Peace and Cross-Border Initiatives – Voices of Fergana Valley Communities,”* the coordinator of the Fergana branch of the public association *“Yuksak Salohiyat,”* **Nargiza Kalandarova**, presented the organization’s experience within the framework of the project *“The Role of Youth and Tolerance in Preserving Cultural and Ethnic Values Among the Population,”* implemented in partnership with DVV International in Uzbekistan and the NGO *“Mehrjon,”* with funding from the European Union.
🎭 She particularly highlighted the cross-border experience of working with **forum theatre** as an effective tool for discussing complex social and interethnic issues.
☄️ She also shared how *“Yuksak Salohiyat”* promotes the great potential of the region by engaging citizens, youth, and women in peacebuilding and development processes.
📣📣📣 The Fergana branch of the public association “Yuksak Salohiyat” is implementing a project in three target mahallas of the region titled “The Role of Youth in Preventing Human Trafficking and Promoting Safe Migration.”
‼️One of the main objectives of the project is to support the capacity of local communities (mahallas) by developing local action plans aimed at creating effective alternatives to irregular migration.
⚡️Within the framework of the project, on October 10 of this year, a consultative meeting was held at the “Afrosiyob” Citizens’ Assembly of Fergana city, focused on developing action plans for the sustainable development of mahallas.
☄️The consultative meeting was attended by mahalla elders, women leaders, youth, representatives of the Fergana Regional Department of the Migration Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Uzbekistan.
🎤The lively discussion among participants demonstrated the great importance of the topic. Divided into working groups, participants developed proposals to promote community development and prevent irregular migration.
This project is supported by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) / the UN Migration Agency in Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Justice of Sweden within the framework of the program “Sweden’s Contribution to Supporting IOM’s Efforts to Prevent Irregular Migration…”
