"A HEALTHY WOMAN IS A HEALTHY FAMILY!"

The Fergana branch of the public association "Yuksak Salohiyat" "Healthy woman - healthy family!" implemented the project in cooperation with the regional regional, district departments of mahalla and family support, regional and district health departments.

Project Mission: To promote awareness raising of 6500 beneficiaries from the city of Margilan, Fergana, Altyaryk, Tashlak, Kushtepa, Baghdad and Rishtan districts on reproductive health and law, including the negative consequences of consanguineous and early marriages, prevention of breast cancer, as well as the creation of conditions for obtaining additional medical services in this area, through training of deputy chairmen of mahalla committees in 210 mahallas. In order to provide quality information and services, seminars and trainings were organized and conducted.

Project study

In September 2020, Memorandums were prepared and signed with the Health Department of the Fergana region, the Center for Reproductive Health of the Fergana region, the Fergana Regional Oncology Center, the Department for Mahalla and Family Support of the Fergana region. A schedule of presentations and research was drawn up for the regions, which was approved by the Fergana Regional Department of Mahalla and Family Support.

In September-December 2020, together with the Center for Reproductive Health of the Fergana region, a questionnaire consisting of 34 questions was developed and published in order to study the level of public awareness of reproductive health and law, breast cancer problems in 7 regions. On the basis of this questionnaire, a sociological study was conducted among the population of the districts, special support in this matter was provided by the regional departments of support for the mahalla and the family of the city. Margilon, Baghdad, Altyaryk, Kushtepa, Rishtan, Tashlak, Fergana districts of the Fergana region.

Based on the data obtained in the course of sociological research, an Analytical Report was compiled.

In the course of processing the data on the results of the study, primarily among representatives of the target groups, information illiteracy among the population was revealed on a number of issues and issues raised. The results of the study showed that it is necessary to convey to the population the necessary high-quality information and services on reproductive health and law, prevention of early marriages and consanguineous marriages between relatives, prevention of breast cancer in women. Based on the study, together with partners: consultants of the Fergana Regional Center for Reproductive Health and the Fergana Regional Oncology Center, programs, modules and presentations were developed for participants in training seminars.

According to the project, 210 mahallas were selected from 7 districts of the Fergana region.

300 manuals and 3 booklets containing useful information have been published under the project "Healthy Woman - Healthy Family".
