"Your health - in your hands"! project of the Fergana branch of the public association "Yuksak Salohiyat" - Working as a sub-grantee of RNT "Ishonch va Hayot" under the program "Protection of rights of population in need of social protection through strengthening civil society in Uzbekistan", financed by the European Union.

ACTION!

In the framework of the project "Your Health - in Your Hands" on December 6, 2022 an action "Youth of the Fergana Valley against AIDS" was held at the International Airport of Fergana city.

Main purpose of the action:

Assisting potential labor migrants and their families in reducing their vulnerability to human trafficking (THB) by providing them with accurate information about possible risks, fraudulent practices against migrants, opportunities for safe migration, and raising awareness among departing migrants about reproductive health and prevention of COVID-21; TB and HIV/AIDS

For volunteers of the Fergana branch of "Yuksak Salohiyat" Vests and caps with the logos of the AIDS Center, the Fergana branch of Yuksak Salohiyat, the European Union and partners from the NGO "Ishonch va Hayot" were ordered for the volunteers and partners of the organization to carry out the activities.

The project prepared and distributed 3 kinds of booklets and flyers to migrants at the airport.

The action was carried out together with the key partners of our organization, with whom we have signed Memoranda, and these are the Fergana Regional AIDS Center and the Fergana Regional Agency for Labor Migration. Representatives of the Fergana Provincial Department of Justice also participated in the action.

With departing passengers specialists of the AIDS Center, the Regional Agency for Labor Migration, the Fergana branch of "Yuksak Salohiyat". An explanatory work was carried out with departing passengers by the specialists of the AIDS Centre, Regional Agency for Labour Migration and Fergana branch of "Yuksak Salohiyat". Volunteers: students of Fergana State University, Polytechnic Institute, students of secondary schools №№ 22, 40 handed out booklets with information on safe migration, risks of human trafficking, prevention of HIV/AIDS.

More than 350 people participated in the action, passengers of the Fergana-Istanbul and Fergana-Moscow flights.

Volunteers: students from Fergana State University and the Polytechnic Institute and students from secondary schools №22 and №40 distributed booklets and leaflets with information on safe migration, the risks of human trafficking and HIV/AIDS prevention.

On the screens of the airport building in the waiting room were shown a video prepared by the staff of the Fergana branch of Yuksak Salohiyat video material on labor migration, prevention of human trafficking, prevention of HIV/AIDS was shown on the screens of the airport building in the waiting room.

Board of Fergana branch of "Yuksak Salohiyat" expresses its sincere gratitude to the Fergana Regional AIDS Center, Director E.S.Abdumutalova, Head of Department of the Fergana Regional External Migration Agency - A.Shamsidinov, Director of Fergana International Airport Madaminov Muradil Mukaramovich for active assistance in conducting this event.
